  1. A customer decides to buy your product or service. If you have a physical store, they may ask a sales associate to ring them up. That associate could use a barcode scanner to look up the item’s price. Some POS systems, such as Square Point of Sale, also allow you to scan items with the camera on your device. For online stores, this step happens when a customer finishes adding items to their cart and clicks the checkout button.
  2. Your POS system calculates the price of the item, including any sales tax. Then the system updates the inventory count to show that the item is sold.
  3. Your customer pays. To finish their purchase, your customer will have to use their credit card, tap card, debit card, loyalty points, gift card, or cash to make the payment go through. Depending on the type of payment they choose, your customer’s bank then has to authorize the transaction.
  4. The point-of-sale transaction is finalized. This is the moment when you officially make a sale. The payment goes through, a digital or printed receipt is created, and you ship or hand your customer the items they bought.

Business Controls

Application can be kept centralized server due to this single view of all branches with their transactions at each level to compare all the branches and warehouse or store. Branch will be able to view his own transactions and not the transactions of other branch.

Specific type of transactions can be routed through each branch, with happen after aproval. Product analysis can be viewed branch wise or cumulative for the region or cumulative for the whole company at each level.

  • 1. Two level authentications are build to secure the application one os HTTP security second is application level security.
  • Role based access to the options from the main menu of the application; User will be able to access see the options from the main menu of the application according to the role / options assigned to him like read, write, delete, print etc.
  • User can be defined to use certain optons on the main menu, so only those main menu's will be shown to which user hav eaccess, he will not be able to see other main menu's.
  • Authentication on login id and password, Login id will be blocked after three wrong atempts. System administratior is authoized to allot the new passwordm but not be able to read the old password, Event the password is stored in encrypted format in the database.
